Submission Guidelines

Thankyou for your interest in submitting to Inkspire Magazine. We are excited to read and view your work. Please review the guidelines below carefully before submitting.

General Guidelines

* We accept Flash Fiction, Micro Fiction, and Art and sometimes Non-Fiction writing.

* Submissions are accepted and read year- round, unless otherwise noted, and we are a monthly digital magazine celebrating creativity in all its forms, with a special printed edition released every quarter (March, June, September, and December). We’re dedicated to showcasing fresh voices and unique perspectives, offering contributors the chance to share their work with a wide audience.

* We welcome submissions from both emerging and established creators of all backgrounds and regions.

* Simultaneous submissions are encouraged; however, please let us know right away if your work is accepted elsewhere.

* Submit only unpublished work—pieces shared on personal blogs or social media do not count as published.

* Our goal is to respond within four weeks, though times may vary. We appreciate your patience.

* By submitting, your email may be added to our contact list; if you’d prefer not to receive updates, simply let us know.
We do not accept work that is sexually explicit or that promotes hate or bigotry toward any marginalized group.

Flash Fiction

* Submit up to 3 flash pieces ( 1000 words or fewer ) each. Each piece of writing must be in a single document (PDF or DOC) attached to the email.

* please use a readable font such as times new roman 12.

Micro Fiction

* Submit up to 3 flash pieces ( 100 words exactly) that crackles with energy, lingers with mystery, or leaves us breathless in a single page. Surprise us. Move us. Make us look twice.

*Micro pieces can be all on one page- must be in a single document (PDF or DOC) attached to the email.

* please use a readable font such as times new roman 12.

Non-Fiction

*Have an idea to bring to life or a touching story to share?
We’d love to hear it. Our magazine welcomes heartfelt, thought-provoking non-fiction pieces that shine a light on real experiences and authentic voices. Share your story with us — your words could inspire someone’s heart or change their perspective.

Artwork

*Submit up to 5 pieces of artwork ( JPG or PNG format, high resolution preferred).

* Please include a short description or artist’s statement, if applicable and why you think your artwork should be included in our zine.

*We accept any painting, photography, drawings, collage, mixed media and/or digital art.

How to Submit

*Submit via email to inkspiremag@gmail.com

*Optionally include a brief cover letter with your name , contact information and artist statement.

* Do include a short third-person bio (max 100 words)

* Please do not include any identifying information in the document itself as we read submissions blind.

*Please only submit in one genre at a time. You may submit to another genre once you’ve received a response. However we will allow one piece of writing and one piece of art.

Rights

*We request the rights to publish online monthly and in each quarterly printed issue and on our website. All rights revert to the author/artist upon publication. Non-exclusive; creators retain full ownership.

*If your work is reprinted elsewhere, please credit Inkspire mag as the original publisher.

Monthly Theme

Each Issue focuses on a chosen monthly theme- but work is not limited to the theme specifically - it is purely for inspiration.

Current Theme is:January – Beginnings & Renewal
Themes of fresh starts, resolutions, winter landscapes, rebirth.
Whether quiet and reflective or bold and transformative, your work should capture the essence of starting over.

Inside every issue and posted on the website, we reveal the theme for the following month, so there’s always something new to spark your inspiration.
