Inkspire Magazine

A monthly magazine where art meets flash fiction. Designed to spark awe and inspire creativity, INKSPIRE celebrates bold ideas, stunning visuals, and concise storytelling.

A slim, approachable monthly digital zine (with quarterly print versions) that curates bite-sized flash fiction along with visual expression. Each issue explores a single theme—and invites both artists and writers to respond in concise, evocative forms. We enjoy our monthly themes, and gives space for reader submission.

Current Theme is:January – Beginnings & Renewal
Themes of fresh starts, resolutions, winter landscapes, rebirth. Whether quiet and reflective or bold and transformative, your work should capture the essence of starting over.

Inside every issue, we reveal the theme for the following month, so there’s always something new to spark your inspiration.

Coming this January our premier issue of Inkspire. Stay tuned for our cover reveal in December.

Theme: February – Secrets & Confessions . Hidden feelings, intimate moments, whispered truths.

In February (2026)-- we dive into the tender and the forbidden—the things we almost say, the glances that linger, the truths that tremble on the edge of revelation. From quiet betrayals to heart-spilling honesty, we’re exploring the spaces between silence and speech. Show us what happens when secrets surface and confessions change everything.

We want your flash and micro fiction and artwork for this theme. In these pages, we want honesty in its rawest forms—sometimes tender, sometimes unsettling, always human. The courage it takes to speak what’s been silent.

“Flash Duel”

for a chance to be considered where two writers given the same piece of art, both write 100-word responses, displayed side by side. Must be exactly 100 words.

Take a slow breath and study this watercolor : a sunrise thawing winter, tiny crocuses pushing through snow, a quiet path toward light. Now imagine how it feels, smells, and moves. In exactly 100 words, describe what this scene awakens in you—memory, promise, a resolution, or a secret hope. Be vivid, personal, and present-tense; let the image guide your story.

Email us with your response by Dec 15th, 2025.
